The Mulligan Foundation

The Mulligan Foundation supports athletes navigating retirement and the often-overlooked transition away from competitive golf. This work draws on the personal experience of founder and PGA TOUR veteran Steve Wheatcroft, who understands the profound loss of identity that can accompany life after competition. Through peer connection, identity-development programming, guided conversations, mental health resources, and substance-use support, the foundation helps athletes process loss while discovering purpose, community, and direction beyond the game. By creating an honest space among people who understand golf’s unique realities, the foundation ensures no athlete faces the question “Who am I without golf?” alone.
